Costa Europa Cruise Ship

Costa Europa Cruise Ship - Older ship, classic cruise experience
Originally the Homeric, the Costa Europa joined the Costa fleet in 2002, and now offers cruises around Europe travelling to destinations such as the Canary Islands, the Black Sea and Egypt. After she was acquired by the company, the Costa Europa underwent a multi-million pound refurbishment including being extended by 121 feet to add capacity, and now boasts an occupancy of 1,494 passengers. The Costa Europa is one of the older ships in the fleet, and although not quite as glamorous as some of the newer vessels, is a classically elegant ship with a definite Italian style and feel.

Cruise on the Costa Europa - Good facilities, international clientele, attracts plenty of families
One of the smaller Costa ships, the Costa Europa weighs 54,000 tons and is 798 feet in length. She has a total of 753 cabins, and limited suites with balconies. The theme on board the Costa Europa is Greek Mythology, with each of the 9 passenger decks named after mythical figures, such as Hercules, Perseus and Pegasus. Facilities on board the Costa Europa include 2 swimming pools, 2 Jacuzzis, an upper deck cinema, library, computer room and sports centre, as well as a spa offering fitness classes, a gym and a sauna. For families, there is a children’s' programme on the Costa Europa - the Costa Kids Club in the Squork Room - offering activities for ages 3-17 in the Mini, Maxi and Teen Clubs.

Costa Europa Ship - Formal and casual dining, plenty of entertainment options
Formal dining on board the Costa Europa is in the Orion Restaurant, which offers a range of international cuisine at its twice-nightly sittings, or at the extra-cost Sirens Restaurant. The Andromeda Buffer and the Terrace Grill are more casual alternatives. Entertainment on the Costa Europa takes place in the Atlantic Theatre, with major productions and shows, and live bands and dancing in the Medusa Ballroom. A number of bars and cocktail lounges offer relaxing evenings, and the Lerna casino is the place for late-night gambling.
