Costa Cruises is an established cruise line, operating cruises all around the world. Based in Genoa, Italy, the company offers an Italian-style cruise experience that prides itself on being upscale, elegant and service-orientated. The cruise line is also a member of the exclusive Worlds' Leading Cruise Lines Alliance, including Carnival Cruise Lines, Cunard Line, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises and Windstar Cruises. Costa Cruises currently operates a fleet of 12 cruise liners.
 
Costa Cruises - Established cruise line, with a 50-year history
The cruise line started life as the Costa Line in 1924, and up until 1947 operated only freight liners. It traded as Linea C during the 1950's and '60's, operating a passenger service between Italy and South America, before just concentrating on full time cruising. Crociere S.p.A, who owns Costa Cruises, is part of the Carnival Corporation and also owns AIDA Cruises and Iberocruceros. The fleet of Costa Cruises have been designed in an Italian-style, and feature elegant staterooms and well-designed cabins, with plenty of art, sculpture, paintings and murals, as well as rare woods and marble throughout the cruise liners. The largest and longest ships in the fleet are the Costa Serena and her sister ship Costa Concordia.
 
Costa Cruises - Varied destinations, including Russia, Dubai, the Seychelles
The company operates cruises to destinations throughout Europe, the Caribbean, the Middle East, the Indian Ocean, South east Asia and South America. As well as trips to the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, speciality cruise destinations include Russia and the Baltics, the Norwegian Fjords, eastern Canada, Madagascar, the Seychelles, Dubai and the Suez Canal. European departure ports for the cruises include Amsterdam and Barcelona, as well as numerous Italian ports such as Genoa, Venice, Palermo and Naples.
