A popular member of the Costa fleet, the Costa Classica offers a romantic and fairly grand cruise experience, and caters to an international clientele on its European and Mediterranean cruises. She underwent major refurbishments in 2001 and 2005, and now boasts a sleek and updated interior full of incredible art, sculptures, murals and mosaics, with a distinct Italian flair.

Built in 1991, the Costa Classica weighs 52,926 tons, and is 722 feet long, with capacity for 1,680 passengers. She has a total of 654 cabins, which are larger than average, with 10 suites having balconies on the Costa Classica. Public rooms on the Costa Classica are elegant and grand, with plenty of well-placed art, and the Galileo Observatory at the top of the ship offers spectacular 360 degree views. There are 11 passenger decks on the Costa Classica, and facilities include 2 swimming pools, 2 Jacuzzis, a spa and fitness club, fitness track, card room, hair salon, library, shopping promenade and business centre. The Costa Classica has a children’s' centre taking ages 3-17, and babysitting is available. 
 
Costa Classica Ship - Choice of dining and entertainment options 
There is one formal restaurant on board the Costa Classica, the Tivoli, offering a choice of international cuisine at its two sittings during the evening. Other dining options include La Taverna Pizzeria, the Al Fresco Cafe, La Trattoria buffet and Il Dolce Amore Patisserie. There are 7 bars on board the Costa Classica, including the main Piazza Navona Grand Bar and a piano bar, with the observatory turning in to a disco at night, and the Colosseo Showroom the place for floorshows, dances, films and lectures.
