Costa Allegra Cruise Ship - Smallest of the Costa fleet, intimate cruise experience 

The smallest of the Costa cruise ships, the Costa Allegra offers a more intimate cruise experience, on board an attractive ship with plenty of artistic touches and European style. The Costa Allegra operates from Singapore and Hong Kong, embarking on cruises of varying length around Asia, and although the ship mainly caters for the Asian market, the official language spoken is English and there is a distinct Italian flair onboard.

The ship was built in 1969 but made her maiden voyage as the cruise liner Costa Allegra in 1992, and now sets sail for destinations such as China, South Korea, the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia. Smaller than many other cruise ships, weighing 28,500 tons and 615 feet long, the Costa Allegra has the capacity to hold 800 passengers in its 410 cabins. A limited number of cabins have balconies on the Costa Allegra, and there are just a few luxury suites. The ship has 8 decks and the decor is contemporary, with the public rooms having an Impressionist theme featuring plenty of art on display and a stunning glass atrium 3-decks high. Facilities aboard the Costa Allegra include boutiques, duty free shops, a full spa, a card room and a library, as well as an outdoor pool and a large sundeck. There is a Mini and Maxi Club for children on the Costa Allegra and video games for teenagers.

 

Costa Allegra Ship - Less lavish entertainment, karaoke popular 

Formal dining on the Costa Allegra takes place in the Montmartre or Veranda Restaurants, with open seating. The Amalfi Restaurant offers an Italian a la carte menu, with the Yacht Club serving a more casual buffet. Dining rooms are based on cabin category on the Costa Allegra. Entertainment is on a small scale, with the Costa Allegra home to the Folies Bergeres Lounge showing various performances, both the Flamenco Ballroom and the Crystal Club Disco offering late night dancing, and a private room available for karaoke.
