The Celebrity Mercury is a classic and traditional cruise liner, with a down-to-earth air and a modern feel. Built in 1997, the ship is similar to the Celebrity Galaxy, another of the Century-class liners, and is the newest in the line. Sailing to the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, the Caribbean, Hawaii, the Panama Canal, as well as new destinations such as Australia and New Zealand, the Celebrity Mercury offers specialist cruises such as a naturalist programme and wine tours.    
 
Cruises on the Celebrity Mercury - Range of traditional facilities and services 
Launched in 1997, the 77,713 ton Celebrity Mercury is 866 feet long and holds 1,896 passengers, with a 2 to 1 passenger ratio. The ship has a total of 948 cabins, 220 of which have verandas, ranging from basic with simple decor to deluxe Sky Suites, with two-thirds of all cabins enjoying ocean-views. There are 10 decks on the ship and facilities on board the Celebrity Mercury include 2 outdoor pools, a jogging track and golf simulator, as well as the 10,000 square foot AquaSpa, home to plenty of relaxing treatments and services and a range of exercise classes. Children’s' facilities on the Celebrity Mercury are fairly traditional, with treasure hunts and talent shows, and there is also a Teen Lounge and video arcade.
 
Celebrity Mercury Ship - Formal dining in ships' excellent restaurant 
Dining aboard the Celebrity Mercury takes place in the two-storey Manhattan Restaurant, the Palm Springs Cafe or the Cova Cafe Milano. Entertainment on the Celebrity Mercury is in the form of shows at the Celebrity Theatre, the casino, nightclub or cinema, with a choice of bars including Michaels' Club, a Martini bar and Champagne bar.
