One of the three Century-class ships, the Celebrity Galaxy caters mainly to the American market, appealing to couples and families looking for a 'premier 'cruise experience without the formality of other luxury cruise lines. Destinations offered by the Celebrity Galaxy focus mainly on Caribbean cruises and Mediterranean cruises. In 2009, the Celebrity Galaxy will be transferred over to TUI Cruises, a German-based company joint-owned by Celebrity’s' parent company Royal Caribbean.

The second of the Century-class ships, the Celebrity Galaxy was built in Germany and launched in December 1996. Weighing 77,713 tons, the Galaxy is 866 feet long, and has an occupancy of 1,894. The ship has 10 passenger decks, and a total of 948 cabins, of which 220 have verandas and 60 are suites. Celebrity’s' signature AquaSpa can be found on the Galaxy, and offers an extensive range of services and treatments, with an up-to-date gym and equipment. There are 2 outdoor pools on the Celebrity Galaxy, a jogging track and a golf simulator, and an extensive range of daytime activities to choose from, such as organised games, lectures and classes. Families are well served on the Celebrity Galaxy with a Youth Programme for all ages, and babysitting services and Parents' Nights Out on offer.
Celebrity Galaxy Ship - Range of dining and entertainment options
The main dining room aboard the Celebrity Galaxy is the Orion Restaurant, offering classic cruise fare, with alternate facilities including the Oasis Cafe and the Grill. Bars on board the Celebrity Galaxy include the Rendezvous Lounge, the Stratosphere, the Savoy nightclub and Michaels' Club cigar bar, with nightly entertainment found in the Celebrity Theatre, with two shows each evening.
