Carnival Pride Cruise Ship

The second of the company’s' Spirit-class ships, the Carnival Pride offers a stylish and family-friendly cruise experience, with non-stop activities and a party-like atmosphere. Sailing sail from either Los Angeles or Miami, the Carnival Pride offers cruises to destinations such as the Caribbean, Mexico and the Panama Canal, and is an ideal cruise ship for all ages, especially families with children. With an Ideals of Beauty theme, the interior aboard the Carnival Pride is full of 'beautiful' things including many reproductions of works of art depicting the human figure, and an eclectic architectural mix, featuring Greek and Roman-inspired touches.

 

At 88,500 tons and measuring 960 feet long, the Carnival Pride is a large-style cruise ship with capacity for 2,124. She has 1,062 cabins, and, as with all Spirit-class ships, a high proportion of these have private balconies - in the Carnival Prides' case, a total of 750, and there are 58 suites. The ship is equipped with 12 passenger decks, and boasts features such as 4 swimming pools, 4 jacuzzis, the Carnival water slide, a jogging track, a golf cage, hair salon, library, wedding chapel, internet cafe and card room. The Spa Carnival on board the Pride spans two levels, and offers a well-equipped gym, an extensive range of treatments, a hydrotherapy pool, exercise studio, sauna and steam room. Children on a Carnival Pride cruise have a host of things to do, with activities at the Fun Club geared for 2-17 year olds, and including indoor and outdoor play areas, games, computers and a video arcade - all free for passengers and open from 9am - 10pm.

 

The main restaurant on board the Carnival Pride is the Normandie, which offers guests breakfast and lunch, as well as two evening meal times with assigned seating. The reservation-only supper club, David's, is an alternative for a formal dinner, with more casual fare on the Carnival Pride found in the Lido Buffet, with various stations such as a 24-hour pizzeria and ice-cream parlour. Entertainment on board the Carnival Pride is non-stop, ranging from music in the 12 bars and lounges, such as the Ivory Piano Bar and the Starry Night Jazz Club, to Vegas-style productions in the Taj Mahal Show Lounge and gambling at the Winners Club Casino.
