Braemar Cruise Ship - Well-established vessel, joining Fred Olsen in 2001
The Braemar joined the Fred Olsen fleet in 2001, and offers summer cruises to Europe, the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands, as well as trips to the Caribbean and the Amazon in the winter. She was built in 1993 and sailed for the cruise lines Crown, Cunard, Majesty and Norwegian before being acquired by Fred Olsen in 2001. The ship was given a facelift and emerged as the new cruise ship, the Braemar, with her most recent refurbishment taking place in 2008.

Weighing in at 23,000 gross tons and measuring 195m long, the Braemar has occupancy of 986 and offers a total of 510 cabins. She has an elegant interior and the atmosphere on board is refined and sedate, ideal for its clientele of older British cruisers. The 5-deck atrium is the focal point of the Braemar, and the decks are accessed by convenient lifts. Features on the Braemar include swimming pools, jacuzzis, a library, card room, arts and crafts room, medical centre and internet room. Leisure facilities on board include golf nets, together with the advice of a PGA pro, a fitness centre offering a range of exercise classes, and a promenade for walking or jogging.

Dining on board the Fred Olsen Braemar takes place in the formal Thistle and Grampian Restaurants, with more casual fare available in the Palms Cafe, the Pool Bar and the Lido Bar. The main entertainment on board the Braemar takes place in the Neptune Lounge, with small-scale productions, cabaret shows and live music on offer, and there is also a casino aboard. Bars on the Braemar include the Braemar Room, the Skylark Club and the Morning Light, and English-style pub, and there is late-night dancing in the ships' disco, the Coral Club.
